Cube Tasting Kitchen Opens at The Cosmopolitan, Maboneng

The Cosmopolitan building, Mabongeng, 24 Albrecht Street, Johannesburg

Cube Tasting Kitchen has a new home which opened on 1 November 2016, in the Cosmopolitan building, after six years operating out of two restaurants in Johannesburg’s Northern suburbs.

The move is part of the evolution of Cube, the brainchild of the award-winning Dario De Angeli and, is part of his on-going commitment to change, adventure and reinvention, the same traits which saw the popularity of the restaurant grow in its old location.

Cube now offers a 12 course tasting progression with the focus on “occasion” for which the location is perfectly suited. You can make use of the entire space whilst enjoying your meal; from the garden outside, where pre-dinner drinks can be enjoyed, to post-dinner drinks in The Cosmopolitan Bar, situated in the same building. You are also welcome to take a breather in their tasting progression to visit a gallery upstairs, if the mood takes you.

Cube still encourages you to bring your own wine – but now also offers a wine pairing option. For tips on which wines pair best with which course, feel free to contact us – or, if you prefer you can purchase a bottle (or two, or three) from The The Cosmopolitan Bar cellar. There is still no corkage.

Whilst it is a new venue, the same team that have made Cube the success it is have made the move to Maboneng. Expect new delights from our January menu.

Bookings are essential and can be made on our reservations page.
